Please note that Edelweiss Ranch & Rabbitry and most sister locations are working farms. This means animals- both furred and feathered- smells, and even occasionally poo will be found around the property. The main space at Edelweiss Ranch & Rabbitry is a barn which sometimes shares space with livestock and poultry.
Because these are technically private events, all participants must be a member of the PNW Farm Barter Faire Networking and Classifieds Facebook Group and/or a guest of a member. It's free to join. If you are not a member of Facebook and would like to be a member our our group, please contact us and we will put you on an e-mail list for updates. All participants are considered members of the group. A participant is any member who attends this event other than staff. This includes but is not limited to anyone coming to offer items and services, anyone coming to shop or browse items and services, and/or any guests and/or minors they bring with them.
Farm Barter Faire, Edelweiss Ranch & Rabbitry, the owner(s) of the property, and sister farms/locations reserve the right to:
Refuse service and/or admission to anyone
Inspect all livestock/animals and items for sale
Request removal of any livestock/animals suspected to not be 100% healthy
Request removal of any items considered inappropriate
Prohibit certain items from being sold or exchanged
Request participants to dismantle unsafe canopies, tents, or other structures
Relocate participants within the space
Deny participants further selling privileges
Establish acceptable sound levels
Change the rules and regulations
Liability and Risk:
The Farm Barter Faire, Edelweiss Ranch & Rabbitry, Property Owners, and/or sister farms/locations do not provide liability insurance for participants. Farm Barter Faire’s, Edelweiss Ranch & Rabbitry’s, Property Owners' and/or sister farms/locations' owners, officers, volunteers, employees and contracted personnel are to be held harmless from any liability or damages arising from a participant’s use of the premises and/or injury to persons or property resulting from items sold or exchanged by participants thereon. Participants are recommended to have liability insurance and are responsible for any injuries or damages, either to persons or property.
Farm Barter Faire, Edelweiss Ranch & Rabbitry, and/or sister farms/locations are not liable, and assume no responsibility, for any loss or damages to a participant’s person or property.
Loose livestock/animals of any sort, including pets- all livestock/animals must be restrained by owner at owner's expense and with owner's equipment unless otherwise stated (methods of acceptable restraint include but are not limited to: on leash, on tether, in a cage or crate, in a pen)
Sick or otherwise unthrifty livestock/animals, or livestock/animals that appear to be sick or otherwise unthrifty
Dangerous livestock/animals of any kind including rutting livestock/animals or livestock/animals in heat/season
Merchandise bearing counterfeit trademarks or merchandise that infringes on copyrighted designs or materials
Flammables, explosives, fireworks, or other dangerous items
Pornographic or adult-themed merchandise
Illegal drugs and illegal drug-related paraphernalia
Excessive noise that may disturb other participants such as loud music, shouting, or music with inappropriate lyrics
Sale or swap of rabbits, dogs, cats, pigs younger than 8 weeks old on the premises
All participants including but not limited to members, shoppers and vendors must abide by the following rules and regulations:
All purchases and/or swaps constitute a private treaty between buyers, sellers and swappers and must comply to all State of Washington and Federal laws.
All legal restrictions regarding selling any animal and/or item are the sole responsibility of the vendor. It is the vendor's sole responsibility to know and abide by County, State and Federal laws.
All livestock/animals and/or items must fit within the assigned space.
All livestock/animals must be properly cared for while on the ground including appropriate food, water, shade, shelter, warmth and protection.
No smoking in the barn, in any building, or within 20 feet of any entry.
No littering and/or throwing cigarette butts on the ground- dispose of them appropriately.
